I stand corrected, I intended to write 'digits' as in maniplative
extensions of our pectoral appendages that have been highly
instrumentative in accelerating our evolution away from other
primates. :-)))
However, while we are on the topic, any idea why we have a fairly
successful metric system based on a decimal rather than an octavian
point that even refers to the numerals 0-9 as 'digits'?

As for the premise that there are 10 valid Commandments, the first two
(actually 4) were given prominence by a very insecure deity who was
only protecting 'his' own propagation.

The plot thickens... "The Exodus version of the Ten Commandments
actually consists of about two dozen instructions for human conduct.
Various faith groups have chosen different ways of combining them into
ten commands."

Kevin,
I counted, and counted again. I only have 8 fingers
(just like everyone else). There are 10 commandments.
There is something wrong with the premise above... :-)
