Some day (in the not-too-distant future), some one will probably mock
Albert's religious views, the same way he seems to be (if I understood
him right) poking fun at the views of others from the distant past.

Albert, may you "walk like an Egyptian" when that day dawns :-) FN

ankh and sceptre. The Egyption civilisation was full of occult
practises. These practises are full of mythologies. The most symbolic figures
are that of Isis the moon godess traditional queen of Egypt and Osiris her
husband. The priests of Ra established a famous temple at heoliopolis.Emperor
Constantine fixed the day as saints day in the christian churchthe days
which were dedicated to the pagan gods so the priests of Ra adapted their
cult to the taste and notions of people and the whole company of subordinate
gods figuered in the religion of lower Egypt for many centuries. It has been
asked that Egyptions who did not believe in resurection preserved the dead
bodies for centuries. They look forward to a paradise in which internal life
will be given to the righteous. The Egyptions had book of the dead which gave
the living people the idea how they must live on earth to attain
paradise.Throughout their civilisation which lasted for 6000 years certain
certain influency and potency of amulets and tallismans were recognised in
the religious services.Certain amulets were worn not only when alive but
also on the dead body.It was believed by the Egyptions that human beings
were born from tears of Ra .Then came the greek mythology. The greeks
believed Helios. They believed that Helios drove the sun from east to west.
Do we still have the influence of all these gods in our religion? Readers
please give your geniune views on this.
