It’s become a pop standard since, being played in dance halls, railway institutes, the erstwhile Radio Ceylon, everywhere English songs were sung and in Canadian Care Homes to this day where seniors will foot-stomp to it if they can’t quick-step. Made famous by Connie Francis, Elvis Presley and in A Capella by Ella Fitzgerald, I chose this version in duet by Max Bygraves and Judith Durham because of its lovely Andante pace.
