VIEWS OF ANACLETO HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HIS OWN
The views of Mr Anacleto Viegas on the matter of Roman Script as expressed
by him in the Navhind Times of 16th July 2007, are strictly his own , as he
himself says so in the same Press interview. Mr Anacleto admits that the
matter is still to be discussed at the UGDP presidium meeting and hence the
views as expressed by him are also not the views of the UGDP.
The whole of Goa knows that Advocate Radharao Gracias, the real backbone of
the UGDP is 110% for Roman Script Konkani. Mr.Radharao in fact is, till date
the only person who had attempted to bring the same Amendment Bill in the
Goa Assembly, in the past when he was himself an M.L.A.
Mr.Anacleto's views for that matter, on any issue, are always his own. There
seems to be some sort of panic in the mind of Anacleto and probably his only
supporter in the U.G.D.P. Mr. Prashant Naik.
The reason for this panic seems to be some sort of insecurity. This
insecurity is becoming more and more obvious by his frequent attacks on
Mr.Churchill Alemao and all the good that Mr.Churchill is planning to do for
Goa.
Anyway, it is the voice of the people that always prevails and not the voice
of an individual. And Mr.Churchill Alemao represents the Voice of the People
of Goa.
