It’s a very poor reflection on a police force that already in public eyes is one of the most ineffective and corrupt forces in India, that a private citizen using his own resources should bravely pursue a criminal who should have long ago been brought to book by the Goa Police and the criminal courts of the state. The shame is compounded by the crime being an attack led by the politician with his goons on the local fortress of law and order - the police station.
