People all over the world who care about the environment have banned coal because it causes pollution. Coal has been banned fully especially in countries where coal destroys not only the environment but all the tourism industry! Now this is common knowledge but are we going to see doctored IIT reports claiming coal is not a pollutant as our former Health Minister did with formalin? And, by the way, where is the state-of-the-art laboratory he promised us? If it is not a pollutant then why not have a 3-day Coal Festival? All over Goa people smear themselves with coal especially the tourists. As our former Tourism Minister liked to say: the show must go on!
