BICHOLIM JULY 21: The 37th installation ceremony of the Lions club of
Bicholim will be held on Wednesday 25th July 2007 at 7.30 pm at Hirabai
Zantye Memorial Hall Bicholim. The new president Adv Prabhakar S Amonkar
will be installed as the president of the club at the hands of D. C. sight
conservation & work with blind, Ulhas. Industrialist, Sameer salgaonkar will
be the chief guest for the function.
BICHOLIM JULY 21: A pillion rider from Dhargal Pednem was seriously injured
in an accident at Navelim Bicholim on Thursday.
According to the available information one Ghanasham M
Prabhudesai from Dhargal Pednem was going on a motorcycle driven by Suden
Talankar. Both of them were going towards Marcel on their motorcycle
(GA-01-Z-6062) when on a turn at Navelim Bicholim their motorcycle dashed
oncoming tempo.
In this accident Ghanasham was seriously injured and was
immediately shifted to GMC Bambolim where he is recovering.
BICHOLIM JULY 21: A 22 year old woman from Kudnem Bicholim today died due to
jaundice while going to the hospital.
According to the available sources one Manjula Suresh Shirputti
(22) originally from Sawdatti Belgaum but married at Kudnem Bicholim was
suffering from jaundice since last few days. Today Manjula died on her way
to the GMC. Police are further investigating the case and the body has been
sent for postmortem.
