Focusing on language as a possible predictor of being selected for a Nobel Prize is a new perspective for me and an interesting one -- thank you, Adolfo. That Mahatma Gandhi wasn't one of the Nobel Peace Prize winners makes no sense to me.
I like John Nazareth's suggestion. What if one of the many Indians who made their fortunes as an engineer, inventor, business tycoon or any such endeavor, bequeathed their fortunes to those doing outstanding work for the greater good and rewarded them so they can do even more? Prizes not only for Indians but for those in the "Non-Aligned Movement" or better still include the worldwide community? Who are the best known philanthropists in India? I'm asking because I haven't done the research and expect someone on this forum knows.
