I'm sorry to say this.............. Jennifer Furtado of Heraldo, you are
wrong, People of Navelim are not un-grateful voters. Can you tolerate when
an MLA is elected for 3 decades and still backward in developing the
infrastructure in his own constituency? This is what happens to Luizinho
Faleiro. His development in the Navelim constituency is only 30% for 3
decades and this is the truth of his downfall. Putting sodium lights on the
main highway is not sufficient. 100% development is not done in this
constituency. Being myself a non-navelkars, I still see some parts of
Navelim not fully developed and the same in my Cuncolim constituency.
For example: Next to Ms. Maura's house on the National Highway, there was an
walking lane where I used to see people go walking, bicycle and scooter...
Etc., like so many places are still the same 47 years back. Luizinho had
only developed the Carmona village and nearby, when I visit my relatives to
Carmona. He had done the development only to get the votes. But being a
Navelkars, he totally forgets to develop an inch Malbat, next to Vishant
Cinema Theatre which falls in Navelim Constituency.
Do not think that the Main road on the National Highway is developed by the
MLAs. No, not at all, it is developed by the Centre government with the help
of World Bank, had given a huge loan to Government of India to develop the
roads in India, cause the construction of roads in India are poor. The
contractors are cheating while coating the roads, by using kerosene to
dilute the tar while mixing with concrete. Not using proper methods while
heating the tar. That's why during the raining season pot holes are seen
everywhere on the roads in Goa especially.
Did you see 100% developments in the Navelim Constituency for the last 3
decades? Few places might be done. There are few peoples in Navelim
benefited thru Luizinho Faleiro are, Manuel Joao - Quickways Travels by
helping Luizinho Faleiro his transportation business Goa to Bombay (A/C
coaches), etc... Go back to the history of Navelim and you will find all the
answers to your questions...
No hard feelings loosing election once... Let's wait and watch... Give
credit to the people of Navelim & NRI's for developing their own land and
homes. This is true......
