OBITUARIES The purpose of it is to inform or announce the death of an individual to close relatives , friends ,neighbours in the place , country or away. The date of death ,birth .time of funeral rites for attendance and cause an inquisitive question often clouded in secrecy. Biography in brief but those who attend and for whom it is meant are well aware of the sane. Remember every individual is precious to the family and glorification in public is senseless to endure The size of the obituary often a sign of affluence and position in the society or of Indebtedness for inheritance left behind.Mourners too bend head over heels to place obituaries and show publicly their close association, if one is a very prominent individual. Then also large number of obituaries basically repeat the sane message ensuring enrichment of coffers of newspapers Mountains of wreaths and bouquets are sometimes overdone. Some use it instead of handful of soil as the parting gift Which unknown person is interested in the biography at the death? Memories that do not benefit anyone have just a fleeting existence. The dead do not listen to the oratories Perhaps it would serve a better purpose of encouragment when alive The coffin too is an issue of display of wealth and status of the family and so is the number of celebrants at the mass.In case of non catholics the practices rituals are far more realistic uniform ;plain and simple Some churches limit eulogies to just one speaker but a prominent dead receives many mentions short eulogies at the begining, during Eucharistic celebrations and at the conclusion of the rituals holding the mourners to ransom and delays. The eagerness to wish and record presence at funerals is best restricted to few outsiders and representated by one of the family member Oratories at the end of burial rites are are practices in vogue , reserved for the famous and person in position ,power in the society All what the dead need is a funeral and burial and opportunity to the mourners to pay their last respects
