Gilbert, It appears you don't understand what is meant by berating others, injecting communal sentiments and having a double standard. I provide below examples of these in your most recent post. I also provide a bonus. You have now bested yourself by injecting, not just communal, but racist/casteist sentiments.
"Bhandare has given you an opportunity to taken on the Sangh Parrivar, RSS, etc., like he has given to the Christaums.".........Gilbert Lawrence "My request to you to "take on Bhandare", instead of advising Catholics how to do so, was based on plain common sense." ......Gilbert Lawrence "You have been polite in your response to Bhandare and Kamalaksh - perhaps because they are related to you or your "jathwalla"" ......Gilbert Lawrence In your first statement above you single out some Hindu organizations, which you believe I have to take on. Why single out only Hindu organizations? You gave me the opportunity to take on Knights of Columbus. Albert appears to have given me the opportunity to take on some other fundamentalist organizations. I have taken none of them on. This is how you are injecting communalism in this issue. Those who understand my position and approach know that I only criticize harmful beliefs and practices of ideologies and ideological organizations, not the organizations, themselves. Your second statement above appears to come from a prejudiced belief that my posting an opinion on Goanet is giving advice to Catholics. My post, as usual, was addressed to everybody. Your third statement above is racist/casteist in nature because "jaath" in Konkani (zaath), Hindi, Marathi, etc refers to race or caste. Like anybody else I respond only to posts that I read. I have not read a single post of Kamlaksh. I have also not read any posts of Albert, and so have not responded to them. You appear to have deliberately singled out Hindu names because you want to appeal to communal sentiments. You want to falsely accuse me of being communal minded, and now racist or casteist by deliberate selection of posts and posters. I responded to your response to Frederick because it had to do with science, and you seemed to have been ridiculing the notion that science brings about intellectual upheaval which my earlier response to Selma had mentioned in the context of the connection between the mind and the brain. You were also misinforming the public that your non-peer reviewed letter to the editor was actually a "short paper". I wanted to correct this misleading statement of yours. So if you want to know what a double standard really is, please read your own posts.
