Ana Maria has a raised a very important question. It
would be very instructive to hear the answers from
different goanetters
I have a slightly different but related question. We
see many people ,many of them expats who are pretty
well off and other well settled professionals who urge
other goans not to sell their land.
If I am a Goan, and suppose I own some property in
taleigao , what do these people expect me to do? Not
sell it to a builder and improve my financial
situation and just keep it so the forest and the trees
on the plot are preserved for posterity?
What moral right do people who themselves stay in RCC
structures have to protest against concretization?
Afterall there was greenery and forests where these
people now live isnt it? Where would the increasing
population live?
Thats why I believe that a regional pan is the need of
the day but it must be free from corruption..let
private parties freely develop thier plots ..all these
agricultural conversion and all is a trick for
politicians to make money
