New Delhi, July 29 (Asiantribune.com): The 'defection' politics in Goa have reopened the debate on the viability of small states in India even as the BJP is trying to reoccupy the high moral ground and knocked at the doors of Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Saturday afternoon in a repeat of its Jharkhand show. BJP President Rajnath Singh, who led the party delegation to Rashtrapati Bhavan told President Mrs. Pratibha Patil that Kamat government should go and Manohar Parrikar be invited to form the new government In the same breath, he demanded 'a trial of strength' on the floor of the assembly on Monday. "We would like to emphasize that Goa Assembly must sit on Monday, July 30 and that there should be a direction that the first agenda on the day should be a trial of strength" the Rajnath memorandum said while making out a case for trial of strength in the presence of observers.
