Congress in troubled waters in Goa, legislators in a fort Aguada (Goa), July 29: A 16th century fort which once guarded Goa from the seaborne attack is at the centre stage of political crisis here, with all legislators belonging to the Congress-led coalition huddled in it.
Digamber Kamat-led government, which is yet to complete two months, is sailing in troubled waters as two-member Maharashtra Gomantakwadi Party and an Independendent withdrawing support to it. All attempts to save the government are made in this fort, which was transformed into a five star hotel, overlooking salty waters of the Arabian Sea.
