Dear well-wishers:
Goa is approximately 60 miles long (North to South) and 35 miles wide (East to
West),
approximately 95 miles adding both directions. We are pleased the 13 walkers
who have signed up so
far for the HALF MARATHON on Oct 14, 2007 in San Jose, California will be
walking a total of 170
miles between them - all for a good cause to raise money for Goa Sudharop and
environmental issues

GOA SUDHAROP is a non-profit founded in 2000 and based in the USA. The
non-profit has IRS
501(c)(3) tax-exemption status and contributions made by US residents and
businesses are
tax-deductible (EIN # 68-0448361). This non-profit was started to help Goans
all over the world
give back to their homeland in Goa by donating money, time, and skills.
SUDHAROP is a Konkani word
which means betterment, improvement and development.
We are celebrating our 2007 theme, "Year of the Environment” this year at the
San Jose Rock and
Roll Half Marathon on October 14th, 2007. Thanks to donors, volunteers,
sponsors, supporters and
well-wishers we have done much together. We hope you can join us in this Half
Marathon or sponsor
our run by donating any amount you desire. (Suggested amount is $25.00). Each
of us in this half
marathon has pledged to raise a minimum of $250.00 and are requesting for your
support. This
fundraiser will be used to support environmental issues in Goa. Please visit

We cannot do it alone, we need your support. We have helped charities,
orphanages, battered women
groups, children groups, computers for Goan schools, environmental groups,
social justice
activists, seniors and disability groups, educational scholarships, etc.
