Now contrast this vision for Goa with that put out in Goa Plus (August 15,
2007) by Kavish Kamat in his article "Developmenet [of Goa] through the
years". He seems obsessed with protecting the "Goan identity" and
"traditional Goan values". He believes it is eroding due to the influx of
migrants sucked in by "completely unplanned" industrial development. He
wants Goa's development to be "planned to suit the needs of the locals".
Obviously this is a recipe for sealing Goa off socially and economically
from the rest of the land. It doesnt make sense.
