BICHOLIM AUG 17: The Animal Rescue Squad in association with the Lions
club of Sankhali and the forest department has organised a special
snake awarness
programme on the occasion of Nagpanchami at Bicholim and Sanquelim.
According to the press note issued by the president of the animal
rescue squad, Amrut Singh the awarness programme will be held at the
town centre
Bicholim on August 18 at 3.00 pm. A similar programme will be held at
Sanquelim on 19th August at 9.15 am at Multipurpose hall Sanquelim.
For this programme there will be a talk on protection and importance
of wildlife, first aid in snake bite and uses of venom, slide show and
different types of
live snakes demonstration, information and identification of snakes.
