Churchill v/s Mopa
Churchill now says I have no problem with MOPA airport
All this time he was for scrapping of Mopa airport altogether but now as a
Congress PWD
minister, he has no problem with the Mopa Airport.
What next Mr. Alemao? No problem with 6 lane expressway? Or No problem with
Devnagri as the
only official Konkani script?
SGF v/s SRSF
River Sal is part of Goa so some south Goa people come together to form Save
River Sal Front
(SRSF) but it seems SRSF in not part of Save Goa Front (SGF) headed by Mr.
Churchill Alemao.
Strangely, Chruchill Alemao is not part of SRSF usually he is always in the
Front as and when
such controversial movement or agitations takes place.
So, who is part of SRSF?
Following are some the people who are actively involved:
-Most Local Churches/Priests from the area.
-CSJP -No government has right to remain in office if it has no interest in
the welfare of
the citizens, says Fr Mavrick Fernandes, executive secretary, Council for
social justice and
peace.
-Some Local Panchas/sarpanchas
-Some of the Local tourist Taxi operators
-UGDP (now with no MLA)
-CS-CM-NIO-Ex.MLA
-And now GBA too.
Seeing that Churchill is not involved, his rival Ex.MLA Luizinho now showing
some interest in
SRSF.
Speaker Rane v/s Davilkar Bros.
Qualification v/s Disqualification
Davilkars Bros. are now qualified as MLAs
Ealier, Rane stopped them from voting in the house as they were treated as
suspended MLAs
against whom disqualification petition was pending. Two Congress MLAs filed
petition against
the Bros for withdrawing the support to Congress led Govt without their party (
MGP) approval.
Babush also withdrew support to GDA and supported Congress without the approval
of his party
UGDP. Which two MLAs will file disqualification petition against Babush now?
Now that Davilkar Bros are re-qualified as MLAs, what this could also mean?
- Support to Congress
-Back to PWD ministry
- Jelad Ajut/Ajit to Churchill? (who reportedly asking too much from the
congress?)
Luizinho v/s Valenka
Valenka is Churchills Delhi based daughter (Lawyer by profession).
She is her fathers (Churchill) choice for South Goa Candidate for Lok Sabha
by-election
likely to be held in Oct/Nov this year.
Churchill Alemao in a meeting (2 days ago) held at Navelim asked the people to
rally behind
her daughter to get her elected in the Lok Sabha. He also said she would bring
many schemes
to Goa from the centre if elected.
How many schemes did you bring Mr. Churchill Alemao whilst you were the South
GOA MP until May
2007? Wont the people say like father like son/daughter?
It seems most politicians simply dont give up. Luizinho Faleiro an ex-MLA
(defeated by
Churchill) also the contender for the South Goa Seat. His recent birthday and
about 5-6 full
pages of news paper advertisements says it all. Besides, he is in the news in
connection with
SRSF etc
However, it is not known on what ticket Churchill Alemaos Daughter Valenka
will fight the
election i.e. Whether on Congress ticket or her Fathers SGF ticket.
