I would love to see all faiths holding hands in the love of God, no matter what we call Him / Her, God is there for all of us, we just have different names for him / her (dependant on your religion & your vision of ONE God only, or differing visions of various avitars of him / her), which may well include Saints of both sexes which we all pray to, but in our own way, be it for wisdom, charity, health, money or luck or any other human frailty that needs a helping hand at the time. If you ever have the chance to visit Mauritius, you will see a Mosque a few metres from a Church, you will see a Gudwara near a Temple (Hindu as well as Tamil), you will see Buddists & Jews worshipping in their temples & synagogues. Yes all together in an area smaller than Goa, about half the size lengthwise of Goa with everyone joining together in unision. Very little in-fighting, except perhaps a little over-jealousness during voting, but this IS expected all over the world. No bombs or fires set in each others places of worship, nor homes! An example indeed (in deed too). As Mark Twain once said, God created Mauritius first then copied it for his vision of Eden........... or words to that effect. This Church for Catholics IS a step forward after so many Christians (and Hindus & others) have been persecuted relentlessly in Pakistan & other Shia states such as Iran & North African countries & recently since Saddam Hussain's regime has fallen, so many in Iraq also. God does his work in mysterious ways, a wonder to behold, indeed (and in deed........). John Monteiro Berkshire, England
