I am really happy you got all your facts correct, which I had done much before
posting this mail.
Over the weekend I met up with a top media sports personality at an Iftaar
party and also found out that the legality of the tournament and its organising
itself is not done correctly hence, big media houses like Gulf News have shied
away from covering it.
Despite being cold-shouldered so badly we must appreciate the sporting gesture
of the Al Zuari team.
These organisers are politically motivated and out to make a fast buck. The
whole incident of this year and many other incidents of previous years give
Goans a bad name.
A journalist friend from Kerala comented that like Goans like their politicians
want to play politics everywhere...sad it has reached soccer too!
