Traditional Goa Day at Kuwait
HERALD NEWS DESK
PANJIM, OCT 13 The Goan Welfare Society, in
association with other Goan Clubs/Organisations has
finalized plans for presenting the traditional Goa Day
2007 on November 9 at the Indian Community (Senior)
School Auditorium, Salmiya, Kuwait, from 10 am
onwards.
Goa Day 2007, in keeping with the rich traditions set
forth over the last several years, promises a variety
of cultural entertainment in an ambience reminiscent
of the festivities and fun-fair, we so often see in
Goa.
To keep you on your toes all day long we have the
Deep Impact - a band which has come a long way in
fulfilling the aspirations of music lovers.
Thats not all, to provide you a spice of authentic
Goan Music, we count on 2 Sharp - the two men band,
which has taken music lovers by surprise in recent
times.
In addition to all this, one can be sure to find Goan
food with fancy decorations and delicious Goan
specialties dished out to provide the desired Goan
meal that we all long for while away from our beloved
motherland.
Dont miss out on the games of skill stalls, which is
seen as a must at every Goan feast and fair back home.
As the day goes by and evening sets in, be assured of
a unique Konkani Cultural Stage Programme, which will
enthrall one and all.
Watch out for further announcements in this regard as
the final days approach, says a press release.
Children are in a great time out, as the early morning
session is planned all for their excitement.
As in the past, with a view to bringing out the best
of talent in the Goan children/Konkani lovers, a
Konkani songs singing competition for children in the
age group : 5-8 years, 9-12 years and 13-17 years, is
up for takes.
