On another list, someone asked about Gyanvani, and said they didn't know of its existance in Goa. Here's something based on what I put together recently while writing on the issue:
FM RADIO: FM radio has been growing in popularity. Goa's AIR FM Rainbow (105.4 MHz) broadcasts from 6.10 am till beyond 11 pm, with some programmes relayed from the national network. But its programmes of Western music, and Konkani music has a lilting charm... even if you can't understand it. Big FM (92.7), Radio Mirchi (98.3 MHz) and Radio Indigo (91.9 MHz) are other options available on the FM radio network in Goa. Mapusa-based St Xavier's College also has secured a license to broadcast via its Voice of Xavier's (VOX) 90.4 MHz slot a campus radio service, while Gyanvani (at 107.8 MHz), the educational channel, also broadcasts its programmes for some hours in Goa. -- Frederick Noronha http://fn.goa-india.org Ph 0091-832-2409490 List of Indian e-lists http://wikiwikiweb.de/MailingListsInIndia
