Dona Berta Monteiro Pereira Ths has the reference on various post appeared on Goanet..
JoeGoaUk too was a student of Berta Pereira's Bakery & Cookery classes in early 1990s. She is very fun loving woman. Her daugher Helen Pereira was the main heroine in the Goa's first Konkani Colour film 'Buerantlo Munis' released in around 1977. Helen Pereira then become Helen Sardinha after marrying to one of the Francisco Sardinha' brothers. I think she also had a son 'mentally retarded' who was always seen dancing near the stage at everybody's weddings receptions in Holy Spirit Church/school hall. Those days the hall was very popular in Margao. Whereas, Club Hamonia, near old metropole theatre, was more popular with 'Bamonn' or Bhramins caste. Their residence is just behind the church.
