Goa Day -2007 Entertainment Programme
The countdown for Goa Day 2007, organized by the Goan Welfare Society, in
association with 14 other Goan Clubs/Organisations, to be held on 9th November,
2007, at the Indian Community (Senior) School Auditorium/Premises, Salmiya,
Kuwait, from 10.00 am onwards, has begun. Make it a point to make Goa Day your
day on coming Friday.
While the bands "DEEP IMPACT" and "2 SHARP" will play to your favourite tunes
and regale you for major part of the day, you can look forward to more
amusements, when the stage is set ablaze by a galaxy of super stars of the
Konkani Stage, ably supported by amateurs as well.
Come and witness the performances of renowned Konkani Artistes, whom you will
love to see in action while they rock the stage, in their own inimitable style.
We have for you accomplished actors, comedians, singers, namely; Jose Rod,
Cajetan de Sanvordem, Querobina Carvalho, Comedian Philip, Sylvester Vaz, Irene
Vaz, Michael D’Silva, Comedian Nelson, Mario de Majorda, Laurente Pereira,
Francis de Verna, Seby Mascarenhas, Simon Gonsalves, Bras de Parra, Tony de
Pomburpa, M. Luis, Elita D’Souza, Brazinho Fernandes, Joaquim Santan Marcus,
Mickey Fernandes, Sanny de Quepem, Sandra Fernandes, Anthony Carr and Poly
(Poly comes all the way from Qatar), among many others. Band for the Konkani
Cultural Programme will be played by the very popular, Socoro & Jolly Boys.
The Konkani Songs Singing Competition for children, the Fancy Dress Competition
for grown ups, will be a treat to watch. Don’t miss the grand Magic Show, by a
very renowned Magician. And the Food Stall and Games Stalls, which will cater
to all your needs for Food, Fun and Frolic.
Scholarship Awards, donated by Mr & Mrs Sam Alphonso, Patron members of the
Goan welfare society, will be distributed to the top ranking Goan students, who
had submitted their applications. Winners of the Drawing and Essay
Competitions 2007, will be announced and prizes distributed as well.
