Goa's Swapnil wins architecture awards
Panaji, Nov 5 Mr Swapnil Valvatkar, a Goan architect has been recently awarded the Style Icon Award 2007, in three categories for outstanding performance in architecture and interior designing.
Mr Valvatkar has won the Style Icon Award 2007 in Best Stand-Alone Commercial Architecture - Office Building category, Best Residential Interior Design category as well as Most Promising Designer - Architecture and Interior Design category.
Kansai Nerolac, a leading paint company, to celebrate the work and design of architects and interior designers across India, has initiated the awards.
Altogether 15 finalists were chosen from across the country and were given an opportunity to showcase their artwork before a panel of judges including Mr Niranjan Hiranandani, founder of Hiranandani township and the well-known architect, Mr Hafeez Contractor.
Mr Valvatkar is based in Margao and has completed a degree course in Architecture from the Goa College of Architecture.
