I disagree with those who suggest that foreigners (read whites) make better tenants and are more reliable. In Bombay, a large US based Fortune 100 company was our tenant and gave us a number of headaches. In Goa, a European tenant on a brief visit, left a number of headaches for me to resolve (unpaid bills, fake addresses, etc.). By contrast, my experience with Goans and Indians has been positive. I am not trying to generalize and I don't think others should, as that would be discrimination based on race, something the landlord in Rajan's picture is clearly guilty of. All discrimination is wrong.
