God gave Moses the ten commandments. The first commandment states “I am the
Lord thy God .Thou shall not have strange gods before me. What does this
commandment tell or teach us ? It teaches us the authority of God. The way God
has given us this commandment He is very sure of Himself. So it is a must to
adore the true and living God. He is the Father, He is the creator, He is the
Lord. Everything comes into existence from Him. He is the beginning and He is
the end. He has no beginning and He has no end. He is not born nor shall He
die. . We cannot bow ourselves or give undue grace or elevate anyone in this
world that would lower the sanctity of God our Lord. Bowing our heads before
statues, honouring human beings by making them lords and giving undue reverence
to human beings either living or dead amounts to believing in false gods. God
cannot be represented by pictures or statues. St.Paul to the Romans clearly
specifies this point. Since we do not read the bible and are not well versed
with it, this what Paul wrote to the Romans has not caught our eye. God had to
come into this world to save human beings. He could not visit the earth and
speak to humans because human beings or mortals could not see Him. God is very
powerful and cannot be viewed with mortal eyes. He is brighter than the sun. So
He came into this world as Jesus. The word was made flesh and dwelt among us
.So that Jesus could be born as an ordinary human being, he needed a human womb
and so Mary came into the picture. Mary was selected because she was always
prepared to follow God’s plan and accepted His calling. She gracefully gave
praises to the Almighty for finding favour with her and thanked the Lord for
selecting her to be the mother of Jesus. She did the will of God. There are two
or three things which we can learn from Mary. Her simplicity, and ready to
accept God’s calling. Her concern for other fellow beings. That is all. She has
never asked human beings to call her queen or mother of God. A creator cannot
have a mother. Nor a human being can be equal to God. Please do not use earthly
logic that is just because Jesus is God so Mary becomes the mother of God and
this does hold good for Heavenly theory. The Bible is the authentic weapon
which we should not only read but also absorb it into our system. The bible
teaches us 1. To accept God as the creator, owner and a good lover.2 To bow our
heads before our creator and live in this world with happiness and lay our full
trust in Him. 3. To love God with our whole heart mind and soul. 4. To show
concern for our fellow people and uplift them if they need it. 5. To respect
each and every creations of God.
