Dear Edwin

Goans around the world are rallying around to fight the land mafia menace in
Goa. The Goan expat
community has been previously disconnected to Goa. Now we have to engage
ourselves and work hard
for a better Goa. The people of Goa need all the help they can get. Other
initiatives are under
way. Although not physically present in Goa, we support all of you.

I urge Goans around the world to email/phone/text/fax their friends and
relatives in Goa to join
the peaceful protest movement. Ask them to take part in the various meetings,
protests being held.
Everyone counts. If every person did just one thing, we can make a big
difference.

As I wrote previously, we may lose but we will go down fighting. The
politicians, mining and real
estate lobbies can no longer take Goans for a ride.

Regards,
George

It is edifying to see the support expressed by NRGs regarding the fight
against the mining and real estate lobbies by ordinary Goan groups. How you
can really help is by buttressing the efforts of these individual groups by
motivating all your friends and relatives in Goa to come out on the streets
in support at the various meetings local as well as state level that are
being planned and organised. Governments all over only recognise numbers.
HEnce we need not only your prayers but also your active support in
mobilising ordinary Goans. Today, SEZ Virodhi Manch is having a meeting at
Loutolim. The next meeting is on the 27th, at Verna.
