Dear Friends,
Disability Rights Association of Goa was formed four years ago by disabled
persons with the main
objective of bringing the disabled in Goa into the main stream of Society. Its
objectives are to
advocate and lobby on issues of the disabled, to create awareness on disability
issues, to share
information for the benefit of the disabled and to network with like minded
organizations for the
welfare of the disabled in Goa.
World Disabled Day is on 3rd December, 2007. We are organizing World Disabled
Day on Saturday, 1st
December, 2007 at Azad Maidan, Panjim.
The programme will consist of a disability awareness walk for normal school
students in the
morning and a variety entertainment programme in the evening which will consist
of live music,
magic show, dances by disabled children, movie on the rights of disabled and a
Konkani musical
programme. There will also be an exhibition cum sale of products made by the
disabled in the
various schools for the disabled in Goa. The total audience targeted is 1,000
people.
It is for the first time in Goa that such a programme is being organized on
World Disabled
Day. Hence we have called it World Disabled Day with a difference.
The total cost of the programme is estimated at Rs. 1,70,000/- which includes
rent, transport of
disabled people, publicity, refreshments, etc. Contact me for more details at

We would be very grateful if you could help us in getting sponsors for the
above programme and
making it a grand success.
Thanking you in anticipation.
