Greetings from the Department of Microbiology, St. Xavier's College,
Mapusa- Goa!
We are delighted to inform you that this year the Department of
Microbiology celebrates 25 years of its existence. As we reminisce
the years gone by, we take pride in the knowledge that our
Microbiology students are excelling in their respective fields the world over!
This year, the school of Biosciences of St. Xavier's College,
comprising the Departments of Botany, Biotechnology and Microbiology
is organizing a seminar in collaboration with National Institute of
Oceanography ,Goa on the topic " New Frontiers in Bioactive
Compounds" tentatively on the 7th and 8th March 2008. It is with
pleasure that the seminar organizing committee invites you to attend
the seminar and or present papers or posters on the said topic. We
would be obliged if you could confirm your participation by 30th November 2007.
We, at Xavier's, have always strived to provide our budding scientist
with the best of facilities possible and to achieve this end, we wish
to upgrade our Microbiology laboratory. The expected cost is
approximately Rs. 5 lakhs and since financial constraints have
greatly impeded the work, we ask for your help to make our dream a reality.
Your contribution will be greatly appreciated. Crossed checks/ drafts
