Maquinez Palace (Complex) -The Palace was built in 1702 and was originally belonged to two brothers, Diogo da Costa de Ataide e Tieve (a squadron leader) and Cristovam da Costa.. known by the name Maquinezes.

In 1781 the chapel was repaired and re-constructed and dedicated to Nossa Senhora de Victoria (Our lady of Victory). The chapel houses an 18th century exquisitely decorated teak wood altar with gilded work dedicated to Christ. It continue to serve the community till date. Every Sunday there is a mass at 7.30am.
