Its a disgrace that pedestrians have to fight their way through on pavements &
there is no thought for the bike riders & car drivers when they visit Mapuca on
business or pleasure.
This is due to lack of consultation with the public. There ought to be
meetings to discuss these things, the amount of space required for, say a bank
with 2,000 accounts where at least 5% will visit it each week. That is around
a hundred people. As the bank is in the middle of a busy & bustling CITY (not
a small town or village), the account holders invariably llive some distance
away, certainly not walking distance, and when you take into account the misery
of using buses (discussed here not so long ago), certainly some people will use
their 2-wheeler as Albert does, others will use cars and do two or three things
in the city while there, they will visit the bank to withdraw money, go
shopping & perhaps stop to eat.

Where can you park if not by the business you are visiting? It's time Goans
took a hold of the situation & when they see these buildings going up, they
enquire whether or not parking has been taken into account, also paving for the
foot passengers!

But as mentioned this happens & is accepted, as long as promises are made
during election time, everyone then finds they been conned yet again. Nobody
standing up for their piece of Goa, because the con artists are doing a job
conning everyone.

I feel sorry for you Albert because each and every day, a little piece of Goa
is being eroded by those who have their fingers in the till....................

Time to get together when election time comes round and ask the high & mighty
to prove what they did when in power, the consideration shown to everyone when
planning .......... and so on.

Love to be there to see their lips curl inwards, faces flush with
embarrasment & shake a bit in their boots, but this will never happen, the con
artists know all the tricks & will pass the buck or responsibility onto others
who were their minions.

Mapuca was such a nice place for shopping in the past. Today to visit mapuca it
is a nightmare. Buildings are built without even an inch of land outside where
you can park.............albert
