The Rickshaw and Motorcycle Association will be celebrating their silver
Jubilee on 18th December. To mark the Celebration in a grand way a three day
programme has been organized by the association from 16th December to 18th
December.
For the inauguration programme on (16/12/07) Chief Minister Shri Digamber
Kamat will be the Chief guest. The inauguration function will be followed by a
Drama Avoin Kele Pap, Putan Dili Zap.
On the second day (Dec. 17) Kala Academy will present its cultural
programme for which Kala Akademy Vice chairman Shri Jitendra Deshprabhu will
the guest. The kala Academy programme will be followed by the Konkni Natak
Devchar Khelayata Mogyank Melayata.
The Valedictory function will be on Dec. 18, for which Home Minister Shri
Ravi Naik will be Chief guest while Transport Minster Shri Pandurang Madkaikar
will be the guest of Honour. On that day three personalities active in
Rickshaw and Motorcycle associations namely Adv. R. D. Mangeshkar Advisor All
Goa Auto Rickshaw Action Committee, Mr. Shaik Abdul Salaskar, President of All
Goa Auto Richshaw Action Committee and Mr. Rajesh Shirodkar ,President of
Margao Rickshaw and operators association will be felicitated informed
Association president Shri Remedio Rebello.

Inspite of laying foundation by two minister the Mini market Complex at
Tilamol Quepem is at to be completed.
That the fist time the foundation of the complex was laid somewhere in the
year 2004 at the hands of then Urban Minster Development Minister and present
Chief Minister Shri Digamber kamat. As the then foundation of the complex was
laid without completing the requisite formalities the work of the project could
not started.
Then again on 29/5/2006 foundation stone was laid for the Complex at the
hands of Urban Development Minster Shri Joaquim Alemao and the work was taken
up under State Urban Development Agency.
That as per the work order the estimated cost of the project is
Rs.35,08,024/- and the work was supposed to be completed by 22/1/2007. Though
one year has been lapsed since the date of Completion the complex is at to be
completed. Only structure has been raised by the contractor and all the
finishing work is at to be complete. Since last one year the work of the
complex has been totally halted.
As the work of the Complex is delayed the different vendors who are supposed
to function from the Complex in all 10 to 15 in numbers had to function from an
unhygienic place situated adjacent to the complex.
