Dears,
We have Buddhist cave temples in Goa, but not Buddhists. Did they get
killed or assimilated in to Hinduism? Did someone do same thing to the
Buddhists in Goa that Emperor Ashoka did in Kalinga [Orissa] till he
had a change of heart? [Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan played the role
of Ashoka in the Bollywood Blockbuster "Asoka" The film is quite
graphic ...and educative. "Yeh darti hai aamri, amra hai asman!" ]
How did the Muslims land up in the forests of Sattari [in and around
Valpoi] when they should have been in the parts of Goa that were under
the Sultan of Bijapur? Who destroyed their mosques? Were the Majil
vaddos of today the Masjid vaddos of yesterday? If yes, where are the
masjids gone? Was Anjuna originally called Anjuman as some historians
say? Is not Anjuman an Islamic word?
Are the Portuguese to blame for everything? Were all Portuguese
Catholics? or were they as devout catholic in their faith as Advani or
Modi is a devout Hindu?

ps: Must declare my interest in the horrors inflicted on Goan
