Octaviano Fernandes bags first prize in GRAF's Literary Contest. Following is the result of the Konkani Literary contest organized by GRAF (Goan Review Art Foundation) a cultural body of the Konkani- English bi-monthly - The Goan Review published from Mumbai: Essay: First prize: "Astitvachem Dor' by Octavian Fernandes of Mahim, Mumbai and 2nd. Prize: 'Bail - Kal Ani Aiz' by Jose Silveira of Calangute Goa Short Stories: first Prize: 'Johny Porot Ailo' by Octaviano Fernandes of Mahim, Mumbai. 2nd. Prize: 'Valencia' by Peter Vaz de Chandor of Andheri, Mumbai and a consolation prize was given to 'Pavlam' by Aleixo Feranandes of Merces-Goa. Prof. S M Borges, Soter Barreto, Marcos Gonsalves and Vincy Quadros judged the entries. Shri Carmo Santos, founder member of Goan Cultural Centre, Kuwait sponsored the prizes. The winners will be awarded at the Annual gathering of GRAF to be held at the Goan Institute Hall, Dabul, Mumbai on 27th. January 2006 at 10.30 am.
