Dear All Another year gone by, leaving me with mostly smiles but some moments of sadness, people who have moved on from this life. I've had a good year, perhaps the most lessons learnt (that I was aware of was a lesson – LOL) has been this year. I'm still following my heart, but have learnt to be a little more practical in life. I still cannot say NO to people, so I guess there are some lessons still to be learnt.
Happy New Year. May the year 2008 and beyond be a happy, prosperous, safe and blessed one for you and your loved ones. I pray that you are touched in your soul by all the divine beauty and that you are exposed to the most beautiful aspects of human beings. Please, no more hatred, no more wars, no more hatred and jealousy, no more lies, no more cheating. Those who do this, I pray that you stop and look at the other side of life, wherein is the real beauty of the good things in this world. Well to start with, this year I have made a few resolutions that I not only intend to keep, but would like to share with you guys, hoping that you folk might pick on some of them. So here goes:- 1. Thank you – I am going to make a very conscious effort to say atleast one 'Thank You' to a person in a day, and mean it. The more 'thank yous' in a day the better, but the minimum is one. Try it 2. Sorry - If I get a chance to say 'Sorry' to someone in a day, I will credit myself with bonus points and feel fortunate that I had an opportunity to say so, and actually apologized to someone. 3. Pray – I am going to make the time to pray, not because I have to, but because I want to, and not when I have the free time to do so, but will make the time to do so. Yeah I want to have more conversations with God this year, thanking Him, pestering Him for more and above all keeping Him strongly rooted within my soul. 4. Family & friends – I am a very family & friends person, but this year, I want to out-do myself and take this bond to another level. I really don't know how, but I guess it will have to do with love, with giving, with respect and a lot of my time with them. (Not sure if they are that pleased to hear this) 5. Kids – People accuse me (yes that is the term) of being a child, I swear not to change that. I will remain a child and kids around me will remain my teachers 6. Laughter – This is one thing I never did. People say I have a great sense of humour, but I never laughed at myself like I should, so this year I am. I'm going to take myself less seriously and do stuff that I would never dream of doing. 7. Write – I'm going to write a lot, as this is my main means of expression, ,my main means of doing my humanitarian work and of course my main means of keeping myself out of trouble and look occupied when my beautiful wife wants to Nag me about something (Yeah baby, I'm just finishing off this article, can we discuss this a little later – like never. LOL). Try some of these, it might just do you good. I am venturing out doing different things this year.
