These days our local dailies and electronic media are flooded with articles showering credits and or pronouncing discredits over the issue of scrapping announcement of SEZ in Goa.
One school of thoughts say: Digamber Kamat (DK) is far-sighted; DK deserves applause and continued public support; DK showed his real spine at the right time; and so. Second school of thought speaks exactly opposite: If DK is to commended for scrapping SEZ than Pratapsingh Rane should have also been commended for announcing winding up the Regional Plan; two sagas teaches us the ART of robbing and coming out clean; a nasty remark also is in air saying - its nothing but play with (mother) land and yet salute (father) general Goans. Both schools of thoughts are confusing. As for me you don't have to bestow any credits and or pronounce discredits (Goans have already heavy discredited the ruling party including other politicians during two agitations) to congressmen, including DK for rolling back their own misdeeds. Secondly, none of the CM's from any Congress ruled state including Goa has any guts to announce anything, small or big announcements, without consultation with high command and what Digamber has done is just that. He has not done it on his own --- that's for sure. Kamal Nath's statement was nothing but playing a already fixed match to mesmerize Goans and take credits. If any one is to be credited for the success than it should be the General Public for their timely support, News and Electronic media, photographers and for the crusaders for taking up the challenges on their shoulders. So let's stop fighting ourselves by exchanging unbearable, intolerable words. We don't even know the factual part of the game so what are we up to? One should realize that actual culprit(s) are enjoying and watching the BIG FIGHTS by seating on fence without a word as if they are perfect representatives of Three Monkeys. >From now on friends let's start pressing our government to release white paper indicating the truth involved in two mega messes i.e. Regional Plan and SEZs. We must also press our government to initiate CBI inquires on the culprits. Best regards, Dr. U. G. Barad
