To Goanet Owner, Goanet Moderator(s), I joined Goanet with love and without anyones compulsion. I believe in where there is love there is always exchange of views. What I mean by love, in common mans language, is a perfect husband - wife relationship, where there is always exchange of words- and yet both leave happily for ever. It is with this sense I will continue to write.
Come New Year and I see growing distress within Goanet or rather with confused moderators. I say this because in this New Year moderator(s) did give me surprise gift in rejecting my messages. I dont regret rejection but would like to take the issue to its logical conclusion and or to correct myself. All that I want to convey to Goanet is that if moderators could reject my mail, I am cent percent sure that if they apply same yard stick to all incoming mails 10 out of 13 messages received and posted by Goanet will have to be rejected. This I say only because the messages that are carried over in Goanet these days are nothing but ATYPICAL gossips that one hears in taverns and bars over drinks. I find nothing intellectual in most of the messages that are carried over to net. I am sorry to say this but is factual reality! You can conduct survey or opinion poll on this!! Some of my intellectual friends in Catholics have already left Goanet for good, they dont even read the messages nor they write to Goanet. All that say is Goanet is not a place for me and you! Have a re-look to few of my messages rejected by moderator(s) visa vise the messages that are appearing in Goanet. In this context I would like to draw your attention to one of the message rejected by moderator(s) under title Cafeteria of Religion. A glaring example is that of - Cafeteria of religion the phrase was carried to net by one Selma for the first time in Goanet. I posted my reply to her with citations of two great Popes in Pope Benedict and Pope John only to tell Selma that she is wrong in using those phrases that too in Goanet. To normalize the issue one Fr. Ivo entered in the arena (I suspect his existence, in the language that is right these days spoken in Goanet, for till date he has not provided me with his contact number I need to spend time with him). His message exactly like mine was carried for posting while my message was rejected. Nevertheless have a look to postings that are carried to net on cafeteria issue its all mess. All Goans, especially Hindus including me, have now come to know whats cafeteria and what our Catholics believe in! Would you prefer to carry such mess to worldwide reading and showing the world what catholic community in Goa is all about? I am sorry to say this. Factually our Goan Catholics residing in Goa are not bad as is depicted by non resident so called high fie, high profile Goan Catholics. These elite Goans (Should I say this to them despite not disserving!) appears to be trying to depicting very sorry picture about Goa and religious harmony prevailing in Goa. Well, I repeat, I have no regrets for rejecting my messages, but than again what hearts me is Is our Goanet bias? Is our Goanet meant only for Catholics? Is our Goanet only meant to carry religious messages? Is our Goanet meant for chosen few? Is our Goanet meant to carry tavern spoken discussions?
