Dear Tony,

Thanks for taking up the issue with seriousness it deserves.

Although I had been to Goa only once on transit on my mobike from
M'lore to Mumbai in 1984 to join BARC, I heard a lot of positive about
Goa & its name in international tourist map which has been built over
a period of time with good effort from Goans. I am proud of Goa, its
weather & beaches, as my neighbouring state & proudly quote it to
expats here, being myself an Indian. However, to get a bad name it
takes only few of the ugly incidents which spreads as wildfire in this
internet Info-age and to re-build a good name & confidence, it may
take several years again.

I appreciate your words, :"not only the Police but also people of Goa
take up this burning issue and get rid of this menace"

With the best regards,

- K. Shankara Bhat J, [ from Kazakh; Next Rotation approx. from 20-Jan
to 9-Feb.]
