Santosh,
This one reminds me of my sister. She learnt that say 10 acres feeds one cow 
which feeds ten people. The same 10 acres can be used to grow cereals which 
will feed 100 people. She then turned vegetarian.  

I can understand people becoming vegetarian because of religious beliefs.
I can understand people becoming vegetarian because of cruelty to animals.
I can understand people becoming vegetarian because of economic reasons i.e. 
they cannot afford protein.

What I have difficulty understanding is someone becoming vegetarian in order to 
lower methane emission (from cattle) and thus prevent global warming. Talk 
about ideologies.......
