Just to
inform you that Fr. Jude will be taken for his second operation today. He
has been asked to remain fasting from 10:00 this morning. Initially the
doctor had planned to send him home for a short break and then get him
later for the operation. But the day before, when he was taking his usual
stroll after meals along the corridors of the hospital, he experienced the same
pain in the calf muscle, which he used to get in Delhi. This happened
after a long time. The pain made him stop midway. Gradually the pain subsided,
as usual. On mentioning about this to the doctor, he decided to do the operation
today. His voice is faint. He has to strain to talk. This is due to a pipe that
was inserted in his oesophagus during the operation. His sugar level has
been rising inspite of his strict diet and inspite of taking insulin.
Please do
continue to pray. I might reach home late tonight. I shall inform you about his
progress tomorrow. Rushing off to the hospital now.
