Selma writes: "Sachin,For some odd reason, I've always considered you a
moderate. Now, I realise that I'm confused as to what constitutes a moderate,
just as you are confused about what constitutes a secular democracy."

Let us not make any patronising statements about anyone else. You have
something to say, just say it.

Selma writes: "MF Hussain without a doubt is a luminary in India's celestial
sky."

Since I had written earlier in my message quoted by Selma as follows: "Does
this mean that he can get away with painting Hindu gods and goddesses in
nude?", can I conclude that Selma thinks anyone who is without a doubt a
luminary in India's celestial sky, he/she can get away with painting Hindu gods
and goddesses? If so, I would not waste my time in argument.

Selma writes: "I am so embarrassed as an Indian citizen, that this man is
forced to live out the last days of his life in hiding."

Nothing prevents Selma from changing her citizenship. It is quite painful to
live in an embarrassed state.

Selma writes: "What exactly is it Sachin, that we are not supposed to be
insulted by?"

I thought it was quite clear in my message - Hindus are insulted to see their
gods and goddesses being painted in the nude and in erotic positions. Selma,
not being a Hindu, may not feel insulted in this particular case.

Selam writes: "Can we all just grow-up?"

My parents did give me potty training quite a few years ago.

Selma writes: "Incidentally, I never did get a reply from you as to why you
thought banning Da Vinci code in India was wrong, while banning MF Hussain
evidently is not."

As she herself wrote recently that she does not read all the messages on
Goanet, I presume she will give me the same privilege. I do not remember her
asking me this question. And for me to answer the question, will she tell me if
in Da Vinci was Mary painted in the nude? Or was Jesus painted in the nude?
