Dear Friends,
Floriano wrote:This is the first time I have gone thro' this tread and I like
what is beingsaid. Hence my two-bit inputs. 1. IMHO the catholic community as
such is dead. It only shows its head atchurch services and related functions
and festivities, weddingsget-to-gathers and ofcourse 'funerals'.

My HO : Yes, the catholic Community is going in that direction, except for a
few, who are not in the same mould, but then 'one sparrow does not make a
summer'.
2. IMHO , the meaning of the words and action of Jesus 'DO THIS IN MEMORYOF ME'
have been truly and sadly misinterpreted over the years and the samehave been
used as an exercise to build muscles in the arms, raising andlowering ....... I
have alwayswondered as to what was in Jesus' mind when he said those words
and/or whatwas he telling his workers/deciples. i.e. What was he asking them
toremember him by? Do what in his memory?

My HO : He knew how easily the human mind forgets. He was merely trying to tell
us 'Not to lose the relationship of friendship between God and Man'. He did
come from heaven to save us. One of the ways we try not to forget is to dwelve
in the 'Word' everyday, read the Bible at every opportunity. For every food for
the mind, soul etc is in the Bible.
3. I believe Christianity to be a way of life and cannot be pinned down tothe
rituals of a religion.

My Opinion: I would agree with you, True Christianity would be to imitate and
follow Christ and his two outstanding qualities were
a) servant leadership and b)humility. To me he was the greatest leader that
ever walked the world with the largest number of followers.
If only our leaders had these two qualities.
PS: I hope I am wrong. Please tell me if I am. Tks.
My humble opinion of life is that whatever we do or say, we know at that moment
it is the right thing, later on perhaps it could be wrong or right, that's
another matter, after all 'Time' is a great Teacher.
With every good wish,
Leo.
Dubai.
PS: I will respond if the writing is attacked and not the writer.

Isn't that what the word Christian should mean?
