Cornel, I think it is a very interesting suggestion to call depositories of Eurasian (mestisso) culture - Xempdekars.
Xemp is konkari word for an animal tail and xempdi is most probably a small tail. Xendi (tuft)which is at the back of ''sacred'' skull could also be called small tail or xempdi.. In ;popular parlance, Xendikar did not sound as effective as xempdekar. Hence the popularit of the latter term., The tail of an animal has some significance in popular wisdom. When an animal shows aggression its tail is pointed upwards and when accepting defeat its tail points downward or to be more precise,tail is between its hind legs. Antonio
