Hi Santosh I too found the definition from Gilbert, attributed to Schein on Identity OR Culture higly questionable. Minimally, the concepts of identity and of culture are not the same by any stretch of the imagination. Further, to lump them together as a collective element is sheer nonsense in my humble estimation.
I also have serious reservations about anyone who can say that there is a "correct way to perceive, think and feel in relation to problems". The concept and practice of lateral thinking, for instance, is all about people thinking in incredibly varied creative ways to solve problems---and something that is encouraged in all good schools and learning institutions. I think if I were Gilbert, I would endeavour to interpret what I read in a more problematised or questionable way rather than take things as given!
