Sad to say but it is true.
I had attended NRI Conventions in Panjim since the very first one Menezes
Braganza Hall and subsequently at the KA. But sad to say Eduardo did a song
and dance affair at the Cidade de Goa and flushed some 30 to 40 lacs down
the drain. I did not attend as a protest. I have also got thro' RTI the
expenses for this affair from the NRI Commission.
NRI Commission is more of rhetorics than action.
And it is true that the aging Congress lion has been accomodated thro' this
superfluous NRI Commission which is a waste of time and money.

Dear Floriano,
Thanks for your continued support to the cause.
It is sad that till now, none of the so called Goan
social organisations that host profit making dances
and football tournaments regularly under the Goan
society banner, nor the recent ''award winners have
come forward to lend to support to this struggle.
But I will continue, to the best I can along with many
like minded individuals, and slowly but surely we are
getting support from various individuals.
Most of the Goans in Dubai have come to agree that the
NRI affairs commissioner is a paper post and Eduardo
will not be able to help any Goan in distress, and if
you go by the track record of this NRI desk for the
past few months, there have been tall
promises..typical of politicians and no action at all,
at least not in the interest of the Goemkar...but only
awards awarded to friends and hosts of the powers that
be.
