There seems to be a lot of misinformation on Indo-Americans in the U.S. -- that they are being starved and exploited by the eeeevil U.S gorement!

Indian-Americans are one of the most affluent, well-educated and well-informed ethnic communities in the U.S. and are dominant in their respective professions in medicine, science, technology and business.

The Patels are a major force in the hospitality industry.

Vikrant Pandit sold his less-than-one-year old hedge fund to Citibank for almost a billion dollars and then took over as chief executive.

Indian woman Indira K. Nooyi , chief executive of Pepsi Cola, the largest U.S. company by market capitalization...

Mumbai-born Aru Kulkarni is president of Liz Clairborne--a large fashion establishment...

Vinod Khosla, born in Pune, is a founder of Daisy Systems and also founder of Sun Micro Systems. Is also a leading Venture capitalist and one of 400 richest Americans...

Vinod Gupta, chairman of Info-Sys -- a mailing-list company he started in his kitchen from scratch...

Victor Menezes, an ex Citibank senior executive

And let's not forget some of our own on Goanet--Dr. Gilbert Lawrence (oncologist), Dr. Victor D'Sa (heart surgeon), Mr. Mario Goveia (engineer and MBA Univ. of Michigan), Rajan Parrikar, PhD and social activist...

and so on an on...I could fill reams if I chose to...

Let us recognise them all...and salute them for their success in America, the land of freedom and opportunity!

the US of A. I am surprised though that having worked as a software
Engineer he could just about afford a place back home? The Americanos
are pulling wool over the eyes of many Indians it seems.

Perhaps Rajan Parrikar would like to give us his take, oh please,
please ? Or better still my distant, distant cousin V.M. ( Menezes).

Mario please don't respond, keep your opinions to yourself, thank you.
