My advice. I treat patients with jaundice all the time.
This lady needs a blood test to test her for Hepatitis. Commonest form is Hepatitis A and this will get better without any treatment.If the blood test does not show evidence of hepatitis, then she needs ultrasound of her biliary tree. That will show dilated common bile duct. This means she has surgical jaundice that will either need ERCP, a camera test or operation. None of the 'Gaunthi' remedies would work or have any value. She needs to drink a lot of water - around ten to twelve glasses per day to keep herself well hydrated and intake of glucose should be increased provided she is not diabetic. Anil Desai
