Haha, Hej Alfred,... it's called bokke in konkani alright....

Before, I used to call it 'cranes' or 'storks', but after going out for 
birdwatching sessions, I've learnt that it's properly called the Intermediate 
Egret. You also get the lesser-Intermediate Egret, or small egret, in Goa and 
the way to spot the difference would be looking out for yellow legs instead of 
the Intermediate's black legs.

Right behind my 'lilla stugan' (or little forest cottage) in the forests of 
Tyresö, I have a bird known in Swedish as Koltrast that's built a nest and 
while the mother sits by the eggs, the father is all over the place, making 
quite a flapping noise and picking up food for his new family. The eggs have 
not hatched yet, but perhaps it will soon.
