The Goa Su-Raj Party appreciates and welcomes the report about the efforts made by Superintendent of Police (SP) North Shri. Bosco George to revamp and re-organize the Goa Police Force (North) to be in readiness to combat and/or control emergencies and exigencies with confidence and ease. This exercise must not be a one time affair and has to be carried out by the entire police force of Goa at regular intervals, including exercises of deployment of the forces during super emergencies like Tsunamis and devastating earthquakes. The way the police force in Goa is allowed to have a laissez-faire attitude could cost the State heavily in terms of law and order situations not being under firm control of the police force.

The Party is especially happy with this said report as it gives the Party the satisfaction to see its "Road Map for Goa' being looked at and implemented in parts.

Chapter I (4) - LAW & ORDER - 'Police' .......................................... has this to say:-

Special programs shall be designed to train all police personnel in matters of traffic laws, hygiene, good-manners, handling of telephone and/or communications systems and public psychology (including mob psychology) and techniques on how to control mobs, demonstrations and morchas without resorting to unnecessary violence.
